More Deepdale misery, and Questions wanted

A week where Afobes’ injury was the main focus saw Robins travel to Preston North End, where they would meet a side who could go top of the Championship with a win. The City side would go to Deepdale without Benik Afobe, who suffered a bad ACL injury in training, keeping him out for what could be the rest of the season. There was excitement therfore, to see who would lead the line, Antoine Semenyo got the nod.

The robins started on the front foot as the first 20-30 minutes saw a basketball game take place. Big chances at both ends before Taylor Moore opened the scoring, Andreas Weimman’s quality header made it 2 after 40 mins before a penalty was slotted home by the home side just before half time.

Questions were raised over the penalty descision, but the Robins had the lead at the break.

Preston were on top at the start of the second half, and were awarded another dodgy penalty, after the ball hit Ashley Williams’ hand unintentionally was struck by the ball. A different penalty taker stepped up, but it was the same result, as Daniel Johnson beat Daniel Bentley. The robins took the leader after that, with Nathan Baker becoming the second centre back to score in a scramble. But a controversial offside descision allowed Preston to seal a point.

Part 2:

Questions needed

I’d really like it if everyone who reads this post can comment on it with one or two questions about the current situations at BS3.

Eg. Is 3 at the back right for City?

I would love to make a post, sharing theses questions, creating polls on them and giving my opinion below. You can keep your identity anonymous if you wish, or otherwise. Please share questions in the comment section, or email @bcfcjack06@gmail.com
