Striker chase takes a new twist

The already complicated situation with signing striker at Bristol City with a reported medical set to go underway for former Barcelona B and Sheffield Wednesday striker Rodri. footballinsider reported that the club are set to snatch up the 29 year old on what is likely to be a contract until the end of the season. It is also rumoured that he is on trial today in the closed doors friendly against Torquay United.

We have previously linked other strikers, in, Gary Hooper, Wilfried Bony and Uche Ikpeazu. The latest name is Rodrigo Rios Lozano or Rodri for short. At 29, the Spanish striker has played for Barcelona B, Sevilla and several other Spanish clubs. Rodri has a good goalscoring record abroad but failed to kick on on loan to Sheffield Wednesday.

Don’t know huge amounts about him, but sounds good to me. Might be a bit risky giving him a contract until the end of the season in case he isn’t fit enough or doesn’t provide the goods. Don’t think he’s been injured much though.
