Bristol City are currently reported (by The Sun) to be targeting a move for Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster. Since Benik Afobe’s long term injury the Robins have been searching for a replacement striker, with 29 year old Rodri coming through the door on a two month deal (with the option to extend in January). The spaniard has not yet caught fire for the Robins, but has only started one game to be fair to him. The Robins might not be the only club interested in a possible loan move, Crystal Palace, Swansea and several unnamed Bundesliga clubs.
In other news, Benik Afobe’s ACL injury may be less severe than at first thought. Nothing is known for sure on this but it’s likely he will be able to feature in some games before the end of the season. This could result in Rodri leaving the club after his contract comes to an end.
Opinion
Brewster would be a great addition to the club and I could see him coming to us over other clubs. He would be more likely to get game time at us than other interested parties, like Palace.
